Work queue

The screen staff have open all day. Its only job is to answer one question in under a second: which job do I do next, and is anything about to cost us money?

SLA rule: acknowledge within 3 working days, complete within 5. Miss either and the refund policy entitles the agent to a full refund, so the red rows are revenue about to disappear.

What each function does

  1. 1At SLA risk counter Counts jobs that have passed the safe threshold against the promised turnaround. Clicking it filters the table to only those. Why it earns its place: under the reference site's own refund policy, a missed SLA means a full refund, so this number is literally money about to walk out the door. It is the single most valuable thing on the screen.
  2. 2Collected today Sum of everything paid today across both services. Why: gives the owner a reason to open the portal every morning, and makes a payment gateway outage obvious within hours rather than at month end.
  3. 3Sorted by SLA age, not date The default sort is how close each job is to breaching, oldest risk first. Why: a standard admin list sorts newest first, which is exactly backwards. The job you must do next is the one nearest the deadline, not the one that just arrived.
  4. 4Reference number Generated at submission and used everywhere: the agent's email, the public tracking page, the LHDN batch file, the audit trail. Prefix says which service it was (TS stamping, TD draft). Why: it is the one identifier the agent and the staff member can both say out loud on the phone.
  5. 5Status Where the job sits in the pipeline. Each status has one owner and one exit. Why it matters: "Top up needed" and "At LHDN" are the two states where the job is blocked on someone outside the office, and those need to be visually distinct from work the team can actually pick up.
  6. 6SLA clock Working days elapsed, shown as a bar filling toward the 5 day limit, coloured green, amber then red. Why a bar and a number: the number is precise, the colour is readable across the whole table at a glance without reading anything.
  7. 7Export CSV Downloads the current filtered view for accounting or reporting. Why: whatever you build, someone will want it in Excel. Providing it stops people asking for database access.
  8. 8Export LHDN batch Builds one XML file covering every verified job, for bulk upload to e-Duti Setem. The number in brackets is how many are eligible right now. Why: this is the difference between filing eight jobs one at a time and filing eight jobs once. See Screen 04.

At Tier A this screen does not exist. WordPress gives you a list of posts sorted by date with a status column. Everything numbered above is the difference between a list and a work queue, and it is most of what separates the RM18,500 build from the RM26,500 one.
